2nd Term Bid: Will Gov. Sanwo-Olu Suffer The Same Fate As Ambode?

While the Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been quiet about his second term in office, even without any poster to that effect on the streets of Lagos and on the highways, Lagosians are beginning to speculate that, could the same fate that befell former governor Akinwunmi Ambode, Sanwo-Olu’s predecessor, be the same fate of the incumbent governor?

Again, as the guess work continues, some Lagosians are postulating that, will Senator Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East, or any other person favoured by the political godfathers be drafted to replace governor Sanwo-Olu even as the speculations continue and the uncertainty in the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) heightens.

Will the APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, again be considering another candidate for the seat of the Lagos state governor in 2023 just as it was for ex governor Ambode in 2019?

It is therefore, contrary to reports from some quarters that, governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had been endorsed by the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision-making organ of the APC, for a second term in office; even Sanwo-Olu himself, according to reports, has expressed agitations (fears) over his position as the governor of Lagos state for the second time.
