Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack: Security Agents Overpower Terrorists, Rescue Unhurt 970 Passengers On Board

It is not yet sure of what to make out of the incident that happened on Monday night involving a train along the Abuja-Kaduna road with 970 passengers on board; which was attacked by a group of bandits (terrorists), who reportedly bombed a rail track to prevent a smooth ride, and the passengers as at 9:45 pm, were still trapped inside the train surrounded by terrorists wielding their weapons of destruction.

Although information gathered by SarahReports confirmed that the bandits cum terrorists surrounded the train shooting sporadically; and the tweet of Senator Shehu Sani, on Monday night, attested to the fact that the incident actually happened in the said location.

 

Sen. Sani tweeted,

“Villagers along Abuja-Kaduna road called to confirm hearing multiple gunshots and attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train by terrorists.”

 

However, in another report just reaching us now, it was revealed that,

“Security Agents overpower Terrorists, Secure 970 Passengers on Abuja-Kaduna Train.

“The Police and the Nigerian Airforce have overpowered a group of suspected Terrorists who blew off the rail track of the Abuja-Kaduna train.

“The Terrorists reportedly blew off the rail track between Rijana and Katari in Kaduna State and surrounded it shooting sporadically into the air.

“The Nigerian Police Force and troops of the Nigerian Airforce who got information about the unfolding attack quickly mobilised to the scene and overpowered the Terrorists.

“The Troops defeated the Terrorists in a Firefight and secured the 970 passengers unhurt.”

 

The said train reportedly departed Abuja by 6.10pm, Monday evening, but it is yet to arrive its Kaduna destination as at 9.45pm when the news broke.
