Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti, alongside his son Made Kuti, have both been nominated under different categories, for the 64th Grammy awards, scheduled to hold January 31, 2022.
For Afrobeat legend Femi, it is nomination for the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category, for his song, ‘Pa, Pa, Pa.’
Father Femi, alongside son Made, also got nominated in the ‘Best Global Music Album’, for their song, ‘Legacy.’
Femi Kuti, since receiving the news, has taken to the social media, thanking all who voted for him, and his son, to be nominated; while also congratulating other nominees for the laudable achievement.
Recall that, in 2020, a Nigerian musician, Burna Boy, at the 63rd Grammy Awards, won the ‘Global Music Album’ category.
