Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly called MC Oluomo, has announced on his Instagram page, his new achievement, of bagging an honorary membership, from the Institute of Corporate Public Sector Professionals, (ICPSP).
MC Oluomo, who is the Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW), made the announcement on Thursday, shortly after receiving ICPSP delegates in his Agege, Lagos office, led by Mrs. Agnes Funmi Sessi, the matron of the Institute, who also doubles as the Lagos State chapter, chairperson, of the Nigerian Labour Congress, (NLC).
He wrote:
“Receives Honorary Member of Institute of Corporate Public Sector Professionals (ICPSP).
“It was an atmosphere full of joy and laughter, as I, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, MC-Oluomo, State Chairman NURTW Lagos Council, was conferred with Honorary Member of the prestigious Institute of Corporate Public Sector Professionals (Nigeria).
He continued,
“The recitation of oath, and allegiance, was carried out at my office in Oko-Oba – Agege, today (4th November, 2021), at the full glare of admirers, state executives members, well-wishers and other top hierarchies of the NURTW, Lagos State.
MC Oluomo confirmed,
“The delegation was led by Mrs. Agnes Funmi Sessi, who is the chairperson, Lagos State chapter, Nigerian Labour Congress, (NLC), and also the matron of the institute”, adding that, the “official induction will be done in the United Kingdom January 2022.”
He appreciated Mrs. Sessi contributions to his success story when he said,
“She also noted that, the institute critically studied the antecedent, and professional behaviours of my humble self, also as the NURTW boss, particularly about mine moves, and efforts, at rebranding the union in Lagos, and Nigeria in general.
The Lagos state NURTW boss expressed joy when he said,
“I am indeed grateful for this recognition, and being inducted as an Honorary Member of the Institute of Corporate Public Sector Professionals. The induction is a further call to serve, and it will boost my morale in giving more to the service of my members, and humanity in general.”
He reiterated his commitment to seeing a more disciplined NURTW in Lagos state than ever before.
“More-so, being the chairman of the most populous trade union in Lagos, calls for pro-activeness; and it behooves on us to be conscious of the attitude of our members, in order to eradicate unruly behaviours, and reposition the NURTW to the path of greatness.”
He thanked members of Institute, who were present at the event, for the honour.
“On behalf of my humble self and family, we thank the management of the Institute for their recognition of the efforts we are putting in place, towards rebranding and reforming the union in Lagos.”
It was also gathered that, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, aka, MC Oluomo, would be conferred with an Honorary Degree, come February 2022. This is said to be in recognition of his selfless service, and doggedness, towards his profession. The conferment is expected to be done by the American Heritage University, in California, USA.
