Senator Shehu Sani, who lost his governorship primaries in Kaduna state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with just ‘two clean votes’ according to him, has opined that Pastor Tunde Bakare’s campaign team is just too quiet.
While no one knows exactly why the Twitter friendly Senator is of the opinion, some other Nigerians SarahReports chatted with, also lamented the absence of posters or any other campaign material belonging to Tunde Bakare who goes by PTB in politics.
Bakare, the serving overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), formerly called The Latter Rain Assembly (LRA), was a one-time vice presidential candidate alongside Muhammadu Buhari as the presidential candidate, under the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), which later birthed the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tunde Bakare, ever since the advent of President Buhari’s administration as the the 15th president of Nigeria, has never failed to declare himself as the 16th president of the nation.
Bakare, who has never been a serving politician in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, strongly believes that, ‘God has elected him’ and that he can fix the country’s problems if given the opportunity to serve as the nation’s president beginning from 2023.
However, after much conflicting and confusing reports about PTB political affiliation, the pastor cum politician finally picked a whooping N100 million nomination form on the platform of the APC.
With not too visible online campaigns credited to PTB, optimists and pessimists alike, one of which is Sen. Sani, are of the opinion that PTB is not conspicuously visible in the minds of the electorates as his campaign team (if any) is clearly not doing enough; and with the yesterday’s (Saturday, June 4, 2022) news report that the APC northern governors/leaders have agreed to step down for the south in the 2023 presidential election, no one knows exactly where the tide will sway for the politician pastor Bakare even with conflicting news information about his present status in the APC presidential list.
Nevertheless, the Abeokuta in Ogun state born PTB, and his supporters remain optimistic that the forthcoming 2023 presidential elections will be to his favour.
