Bayelsa State SSG Mother, Kidnapped A Month Ago, Regains Freedom

The 80 years old mother of the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government (SSG), Madam Betinah Benson, abducted a month ago by some unknown gunmen, at her Old Legislative Quarters home, in Yenogoa, Bayelsa state, has regained freedom.

 

The octogenarian, who was kidnapped on July 20, 2021, regained her freedom on Sunday, August 22, 2021. It was not sure if any amount was paid as ransom before she was released.

 

SarahReports.com had earlier reported that, Madam Benson’s recent ordeal in the hands of her abductors, was not her first experience. Her experience was in January 2013, and another 8 years after, in 2021.

 

The aged mother of the SSG, has been reunited with her family and friends.

 

Hon. Friday Benson, son of Madam Benson, is the present Bayelsa SSG, under the Governor Douye Diri led administration. He was also a former speaker in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
