Court Convicts 8 Yahoo Boys, Orders Forfeiture of N60m Duplex, Exotic Cars

A Federal High Court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara state, has convicted eight (8) ‘yahoo boys’ for offences bordering on internet fraud.


According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the fraudsters were part of the 30 yahoo boys arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during a sting 
operation in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state capital on April 26.

 

Justice Muhammed Sani, the presiding judge over the case, has ordered the forfeiture of a N60m Duplex, situated at Lekki, Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos, a RS 350 Lexus car worth over N6m, and other luxurious cars belonging to the fraudsters.

 

The eight (8) arrested yahoo boys are: David Oluseyi Ajewole based in Ado-Ekiti, Ebenezer Apata, Obadun Taofeek, Ayeni Kayode, Alade Daniel, Ojo Tobi, Adeyemi Segun and Akinrinmola Olumide, all from Oyo, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti states respectively.
