Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has condemned the assault of a female Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, (LASTMA), by men of the Nigeria Police Force, (NPF).
In a recent video sighted by SarahReports, a source in the video, narrated how men of the Police Force, were seen driving against traffic, popularly called one-way, while the female LASTMA officer, who was on duty, tried stopping them, as that was a traffic offense.
The source also reported that, to compound issues, the Policemen, were not in uniform; and just because the LASTMA lady official, tried stopping the unruly policemen, she was thorough beaten, and assaulted with her uniform torn.
As if that was not enough, she was afterwards, arrested, and taken to the Area C command of the Force at Surulere, Lagos.
It was on her release that she was taken to the hospital by a good Nigerian for treatment where the video was recorded.
CP. Odumosu, who utterly frowned at the incident, said, investigation is ongoing, and that the Police officers involved, will be thoroughly punished, as the State’s Police Command will not tolerate any form of indiscipline.
The unfortunate incident reportedly happened around Tejuosho, Yaba area, of Lagos State.
