Displaced Bandits Take Over Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto States, Begging For Food, Robbing Residents

Dislodged armed bandits within Zamfara, Katsina and Sokoto states, have taken to the streets, and other neighbouring states, to beg for food, and to rob.

Reports on some other news platforms, said, fleeing bandits, who have escaped military attacks in their hideouts, have been roaming about looking for places to settle in different communities in the northern regions.

It has also been confirmed that, while some of the hungry-looking bandits are begging for survival since they fled Zamfara forest, others have taken robbing residents for food and money as occupation.

A Katsina state resident, according to PRNigeria said, ‘bandits are also mounting roadblocks to extort motorists.’

“They are demanding for money, food and petrol. Surprisingly, they are not kidnapping people for ransom, since mobile phones are not working here.”
