A group of unidentified gunmen have killed Dr. Chike Akunyili, late Dora Akunyili’s widower.
Dr. Chike Akunyili was reportedly murdered on Tuesday, September 28, at Onitsha, Umuoji, in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, few hours after leaving the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA), where his wife was posthumously honoured.
Recall that, the wife of the late Doctor Chike Akunyili, late Dora Akunyili, was a former Information Minister, and the ex DG of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration, NAFDAC, who died on June 7, 2014, at the age of 57.
Late Dr. Chike Akunyili and his late wife, Dora Akunyili, were blessed with six (6) children.
