A commanders of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, Emeoyiri Uzorma Benjamin, a.k.a Onye Army, arrested by operatives of the Force Intelligence Response Team, has made shocking confessions indicting the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Onye Army was quoted to have said, “Nnamdi Kanu said we should dismantle all checkpoints and even kill the security agents manning the checkpoints because they were killing Igbo people.”
He has also admitted his alleged involvement in the attacks of security officials and government assets in Imo and Anambra states respectively while also admitting IPOB’s involvement in the burning of the house of Governor Hope Uzodimma, of Imo State during which a security personnel was killed in retaliation for the death of Ikonso, a top member of IPOB gunned down by security agents.
In what seems to be unbelievable, the detained commander said that heads of 10 girls captured in Imo State, were used in preparing charms to fortify members of the group against police bullets.
He has however, pleaded with the Buhari led administration to grant amnesty to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, while expressing joy over the arrest.
It would be recalled that some newspapers in the country reported that Nnamdi Kanu was said to have been arrested and repatriated from Kenya; a claim the Kenyan government through the High Commissioner, Wilfred Machage has since refuted.
