An operative of the Department of State Service (DSS), have reportedly killed a young lady, identified as Chinenye Opah, during a raid along Ologo Street in the Coal City Camp, in Enugu.
The young lady, who was a baker, was allegedly shot on Friday, March 18, 2022, by a yet to be identified officer of the DSS.
DSS operatives was said to have stormed the Ologo area of the coal city, with two Hilux vehicles shooting sporadically.
Chinenye, like every other person, was said to have ran for safety before she was reportedly gunned down by a DSS operative.
According to a family source, Chinenye “had three bullet holes around her upper region, showing that the operatives clearly targeted to kill her.”
Although Chinenye’s body had been deposited at the Eastern Nigeria Medical Center Enugu, according to the family source, the State’s Police Command spokesperson, Daniel Ndukwe, is yet to react to the incident.
In addition, a source from the DSS zonal office in Enugu, confirmed that, the Service did not have any record of such incident in their office.
