Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, now Evangelist Ebenezer Obey, one of Nigeria’s music icon, is 80 years old on Sunday April 3, 2022.
Ebenezer Obey whose real names are Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Fabiyi, was born into the Owu subgroup of the Egbas in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria.
He started permeating the music landscape with his juju music from the 1960s, and since then, he remains one of the most popular, prolific, and influential musicians in the country and beyond with over fifty albums to his credit; and still counting.
Obey is blessed with children; and he has many awards to his credit.
Some of his ever green albums are: ‘Anjade lo’, ‘Eda To Mose Okunkun’, ‘Olomi Gbo Temi’, ‘Eni Ri Nkan He’ among many others.
