The Federal Government, FG, through the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, has announced increase in the price of electricity meters across the country.
In a released circular by NERC, dated November 11, 2021, with reference number NERC/REG/MAP/GEN/751/2, it was disclosed that, a single phase meter, which currently goes for N44,896.17, has now been revised to N58,661.69 while a three-phase meter is now with the reviewed price of N109,684.36 from current price of N82,855.19.
The issued circular captioned: ‘Review of the unit price of end-use meters under the Meter Asset Provider and National Mass Metering Regulations’, was addressed to all the managing directors of the electricity distribution companies as well as to all meter asset providers.
The change in prices of both the single phase meter and the three-phase meter, according to the circular, will be effected from November 15, 2021.
