The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has enjoined Nigerians to join hands together with the President Buhari’s led administration for a better Nigeria; while also assuring citizens of the country, home and abroad, of the Federal Government’s commitment to see to the end of all challenges witnessed in the country.
Minister Aregbesola said this while announcing Friday, October 1, as a public holiday to mark the country’s 61st Independence anniversary.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who believed that if all hands are put on deck, Nigeria will be a better place, and the labour of our heroes past will not be in vain; also opined that, the warmth, intelligence, and the skills of Nigerians in different fields of human endeavours, can without doubt, make the country, “the leading black nation in the world, and Africa’s pride and beacon of hope” only if Nigerians can come together.
He however confirmed that, the 2021 Independence Day celebrations will be low key, due to Covid 19 restrictions; adding that, the well-being of Nigerians is of utmost priority to the President.
