Gov. Sanwo-Olu Transforms Lagos DSVRT Into An Agency

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT), which was initially, just an office under the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, has been rebranded under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration to a functional agency in the State.

In a show of solidarity for DSVRT, Gov. Sanwo-Olu wore a touch of purple suit which is the colour code of the ‘new’ agency and as a sign of support against sexual violence.

Sanwo-Olu, after the rebranding, said,

“Raising awareness about domestic and sexual violence, is important to ending the cycle of violence.

He again, reiterated the State’s government intolerance for all forms of sexual and gender-based violence.

He said,

“We will not rest on our oars until the menace is reduced to the barest minimum in Lagos.”

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the coordinator of the Response Team before it became an agency as the new Executive Secretary of the DSVRT.
