Gbenga Aluko, a former Ekiti governorship aspirant, and the son of the late Professor of Economics, Sam Aluko, who died on Saturday, was said to have showed no sign, or symptom of illness, before his sudden collapse, and eventual death.
According to eyewitnesses’ account, Aluko collapsed in his Abuja office, and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, (DoA). He was aged 58.
Daniel Olugbenga Aluko, a native of Ode-Ekiti, Ekiti state, was in 2018, a governorship aspirant in the State, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC).
Prior to this, he was a member of the National Assembly, between 1999 and 2003, and the Senator representing Ekiti South, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
