I Won’t Leave Office As A Failure … President Buhari

During a meeting with service chiefs at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, August 19, President, Muhammadu Buhari, vowed, he will not leave the seat of power in 2023, as a failure.

National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno, disclosed this, while briefing State House correspondents after the meeting.

Maj. Gen. Monguno, told the media that,  President Buhari  is quite happy that, there has been tremendous improvements in the fight against insecurity since the appointment of the new service chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police.

He added that, the President has promised never to leave the presidential seat as a failure come 2023.

Monguno reiterated President Buhari’s commitment to making changes if need be, despite the recent ones previously made; especially in the theater of operations.

The NSA, however, made it clear to newsmen that, the meeting with the service chiefs was mainly to update the President on the gains recorded so far in the war against insurgence.

He laid claims to the fact that, many successes have been recorded, especially in the north east because a good number of persons (insurgents) are laying down their arms and ammunition in surrender to security operatives.
