Just In: Suspended DCP Abba Kyari, Others In Court For Drug Charges

The already troubled suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, and other accused persons, are presently at the Federal High Court in Abuja for the alleged offenses of being drug cartel members and traffickers of narcotics.

 

Recall that, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), arrested Abba Kyari and some other persons, on February 14, 2022, for the alleged offense of drug trafficking.

 

Consequently, a criminal case file, marked FHC/ABJ/57/2022, containing an eight-count charge against Kyari and six others, was presented by the NDLEA on Monday February 28, 2022, before the Abuja Federal High Court.

 

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi had earlier confirmed that, the case against Kyari and his co-defendants, bothered on “criminal conspiracy, unethical professional conduct, official corruption, and tampering with exhibits.”

 

The case is ready for hearing today Monday March 7, 2022, with Abba Kyari present at the Federal High Court, Abuja, amidst tight security.
