Barely few weeks after the collapse of a 21 storey building in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State, another building, has again, caved-in, in the Badagry area of the State, with casualties recorded.
The incident which happened at an Estate, in the Magbon area of Badagry on Wednesday, November 17th, has so far, left about 5 (five) persons unconscious.
This is according to Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, who said the Badagry Fire station, had rescued about 5 victims, from under the rubbles.
Director Adeseye reiterated that,
concerted efforts between the Morogbo Division of the Nigerian Police Force, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service operatives, alongside with members of the community, were swiftly deployed, to rescue other trapped victims.
Adeseye also confirmed that, many of the victims, are mainly artisans, working at the construction site.
She added that, many people rescued escaped with various degree of injury; but all in stable condition.
