The National President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, on Friday, April 1, 2022, broke the news of the death of the popular Yoruba comic actor, Kunle Adetokunbo, alias ‘Dejo Tunfulu.’
‘Dejo Tunfulu’ was said to have died night of Thursday, March 31, 2022, three (3) days after attending a party. He was aged 49.
Emotional Amusan said,
“Yes, we lost Dejo Tunfulu, I am so shocked because he still attended a party three days ago.”
“May God grant him eternal rest … the Association will communicate to the public further.”
Kunle Adetokunbo, aka ‘Dejo Tunfulu’ was a prominent Yoruba comic actor, writer, and producer.
He was a native of Ikija area of Abeokuta in Ogun state; but he was born in the Idumota area of Lagos Island in Lagos state on May 31, 1972.
He will be remembered as a comedian and for the various comic roles he played, among which were: “Hally The Drummer” (2016), and “Jide Jendo” (2020), and many others.
