In what seems like a very short celebration time for the just freed Islamic cleric, barely two days ago, Sheik Ibraheem Elzakzaky, the Kaduna state government under Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has again filed fresh charges against the leader of the Shiite Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).
Sheik Ibraheem Elzakzaky who was in custody for almost seven years, before his release two days ago, alongside his wife, has again being charged by the Director of Public Prosecution, Dari Bayero, in Kaduna state, on alleged treasonable felony and terrorism against the state and the federal government. following clashes between members of the IMN, better known as Shi’ites, and soldiers in Zaria, Kaduna State.
Dari Bayero said El-Zakzaky will face charges on the alleged offenses based on his actions before 2015 and that the court will issue order for El-Zakzaky’s re-arrest for him to answer questions on the new charges.
