A 54-year-old man, named Pastor Michael Oliseh is likely to spend the rest of his life in prison for defiling a set of 12 years old twins under his care.
Oliseh was said to have defiled the twins sisters after their father entrusted them in his care, and travelled to the village for a burial ceremony.
He afterwards, threatened the sisters to dare tell their father, who he said will lose his job if the sisters attempt to tell him.
However, luck ran out of Oliseh when he was caught by a neighbour, who saw him chasing one of the girls in the compound, and also dragging her with her pants in his hands.
In her verdict, Justice Abiola Soladoye, the presiding judge over the case at the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, it was considered a breach of trust for the assistant Pastor Oliseh of the Anointed Chosen Vessel Ministry in Okota, Lagos, to defile his friend’s children entrusted in his care.
Justice Soladoye therefore considered Pastor Michael Oliseh a “serial rapist” who took delight in defiling minors, in this case, his friend’s daughters, after proving beyond reasonable doubts the charges of defilement against Oliseh.
The Judge also upheld that Michael Oliseh’s disloyal and untrustworthy action is unbecoming of a pastor, and stressed the need for ‘responsible parenting’ after which the verdict was pronounced that Michael Oliseh is to remain in prison for the rest of his life.
