The Lagos State Government on Tuesday August 3rd, has announced the review in prices of vehicle Number plates and driver’s license.
The General Manager, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA), Mrs. Lape Kilanko, said the reviewed prices came after the Joint Tax Board (JTB) had sent an approval letter, dated 30th July 2021, to the state governor, Babajide Sanwoolu.
Consequently, the new rates for Standard Private Number Plates and Standard Commercial Number Plates amongst others is now ₦18,750, while Drivers’ license for three years and five years respectively will cost ₦10,350 and ₦15,450.
The General Manager of the JTB made it clear that the new price regime starts from Thursday, August 5, 2021 and implored all State Boards of Internal Revenue to ensure strict adherence to the new approved rates for uniformity in the administration of road taxes across the state.
