Minister Of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi Expresses Shock Over Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack By Terrorists

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Tuesday, has expressed shock over the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, an incident that happened Monday night.

 

Minister Amaechi on his Twitter page said,

“I am devastated, heartbroken by what I saw on a visit to the site of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack in company of the Minister of State for Transportation, Sen. Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki and the Minister for Police Affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi.”

The Abuja-Kaduna train attack had generated widespread condemnation and many conflicting reports have generated concerning the incident.


While some news headline reported that, “Terrorists Bomb Abuja-Kaduna Train With   970 Passengers” SarahReports reported that, security agents successfully rescued the 970 passengers on board, based on information reaching us after the incident.


However, the Nigerian news media widely reported the train attack, with reports that, some unspecified number of persons died during the gory incident.

 

It is therefore not clear what to make of security agents report that, its officers overpowered the terrorists, and secure the 970 passengers on Abuja-Kaduna train unhurt.
