Consequent upon Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s declaration to run for the presidential seat in 2023, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had told reporters, after a meeting with some governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the Kebbi State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, in Abuja, where he had gone to seek collaboration, support and encouragement from the party, towards his ambition and mission to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria after President Buhari, reacted to Osinbajo’s decision to run with, “I have no son grown enough to declare.”
Osinbajo, who has been considered before now as Tinubu’s political son, reportedly got into power through Asiwaju Tinubu’s goodwill.
While Senator Tinubu alone can explain the depth of his statement, the insinuation of some Nigerians is that, it seems Asiwaju Tinubu is not very comfortable with Professor Osinbajo’s involvement in the 2023 presidential race.
However, Kebbi state governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu added to Asiwaju Tinubu’s statement that, VP Osinbajo’s presidential ambition is an indication of the quality of persons in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The fact that we have people in our party that express desire to lead the party into the highest office in electoral contests, shows how much our party has resonated with Nigerians and our party members.”
What do you think of Senator Tinubu’s statements “I have no son grown enough to declare,” and his body language since VP Osinbajo made his intention to be the next Nigeria president known.
