Nollywood Actor, Sir David Osagie Dies in His Sleep Few Hours After Being on Movie Set

Nollywood actor, David Ogbeosamudia Osagie, popularly called Sir David is dead.

 

Besides being an actor, David was a scriptwriter, a producer and a professional talent developer who was known for his roles as king in movies, or as an elder kings man.

The Delta born actor reportedly died  few hours in his sleep after being on a movie set on Tuesday, May 3, 2022.

Some of his colleagues, who share the sad news on Instagram expressed shock concerning his death.

 

Confirming the news, Nollywood actress, Ngozi Ezehwho, on Instagram on Wednesday, May 4, wrote: “I hate to say this but we have lost another Nollywood king, Sir David. He wasn’t sick, it just happened. How do we explain this, another loss in Nollywood. Oh Lord have mercy. I Mourn again oh.”

 

Another Nollywood actress, Ibiwari Etuk, said: “This can’t be explained o. He filmed yesterday o went back to rest hoping to resume shoot today but never woke up. Another king role interpreter is gone …. What is this o God.”

 


Born 1st of October 1968, the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), lle-Ife graduate, David Osagie rose to the top in the movie industry for decades ever since his debut; and he featured in so many movies alongside top Nollywood actors and actresses.

 

He would be remembered for his role in ‘Royal Battle’ and in many other movies.

 

Before his death, Sir David Osagie, apart from acting, was the President/Chairman, Deltabond Media Concepts Limited, and Deltabond Film House & Studio.

 

He was married, and the Union was blessed with children.
