Zamfara state Police command, has arrested a 39 year old woman, Fatima Lawal, for allegedly supplying arms, and ammunition to bandits across the country, and beyond.
The state’s Police Tactical Unit, in a joint operation with the FIB/STS, led by DSP. Hussaini Gimba, arrested Fatima Lawal on Thursday, November 25th; at Gada Biyu area, in Bungudu LGA, of Zamfara state.
The suspect was said to have been caught with nine hundred, and ninety one, (991), rounds of AK-47 live ammunition, which she was reportedly conveying from Dabagi Village in Sokoto state to the den of a notorious bandit kingpin, named Ado Alero, a terrorist in the Zamfara region, and in other neighbouring states.
Fatima Lawal, a native of Kaura Namoda LGA of Zamfara state, has been confirmed to be a specialist in supplying arms and ammunition to bandits, wherever they may be.
Her supply chain extended beyond her Zamfara state locality, to Sokoto state, Kebbi state, Kaduna, Katsina, and Niger State, respectively, and beyond.
Fatima Lawal, since her arrest, has been cooling her heels in Police custody, where she will be interrogated.
