NPF Rescues 21 Years Old Social Media Victim, Arrests Criminal Syndicates

Kudos to the Intelligence Response Team of the Nigeria Police Force, (NPF), whose unrelenting efforts has again, led to the arrest of Mr. Sadiq Abubakar, a 31-year-old man, and an indigene of Kogi State, and another Mr. Peter Moses, a 25-year-old native of Kaduna State, for abducting one 22 years old lady.

 

Investigations by the Police Force team, confirmed in a Statement that, Sadiq Abubakar and Peter Moses, are suspected criminals, savvy in the use of various social media platforms from where they lured their victims before demanding for ransom from their families; even after sexually assaulting them.

 

The victim, who was said to have been taken to a location in Suleja, Niger state, a town bordering the FCT, Abuja, was also molested by her abductors while an undisclosed amount was collected from her parents as ransom before her eventual release.

 

In another development, three (3) criminal suspects, namely, Emmanuel Joel 42 years, Ayuba Joel, 30 years, Hassan Umar, 30 years were on August 28, 2021, arrested for allegedly possessing arms, ammunition and AK47 magazines.

 

The Security Operatives revealed that, the suspects are ‘criminal arms dealers’, who supposedly, supply weapons to criminal gangs in Nasarawa and Taraba States.

 

While three (3) of the suspects have been nabbed, the Police team assured Nigerians that others members of the gang, presently at large, will also be arrested not too long from now.
