President Buhari On A Condolence Visit To Late Chief Ernest Shonekan’s Lagos Home

President Buhari, during his one day visit to Ogun state to commission projects, made a stop over at Lugard Avenue, Ikoyi, the Lagos home of the late Chief Ernest Shonekan, the former head of the Interim National Government to commiserate with the family.

 

Chief Shonekan had died early hours of Tuesday, January  11, 2022, at the age of 85.

 

President Buhari, was there in company of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.

 

The Shonekan’s received the President, and his entourage, to their home around 4:40pm.

 

Gov. Sanwo-Olu who had earlier sent a condolence message to the Shonekan’s family, described the late head of state as a renowned technocrat, a seasoned administrator, and a passionate leader who contributed his quota to the growth and development of Nigeria during his lifetime.
