President Buhari Swears In Acting CJN Ariwoola After Resignation of Justice Tanko Muhammad

Following the Monday June 27, resignation of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad on health grounds, President Muhammadu Buhari soon afterwards, swore in the most senior judge at the Supreme Court, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Sources at the Supreme Court, on Monday morning, confirmed the development.

Justice Muhammad had reportedly travelled sometime last year to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, to treat an undisclosed ailment.
