Principal, VP, Three Teachers, Kidnapped In Ondo State On Their Way From School

It is no longer news the incessant kidnapping of innocent people in Nigeria who are going about their daily business or routine.

 

In another development, a principal, vice principal, alongside three (3) other school teachers, have again been abducted by some unknown gunmen, (as they are mostly addressed) in Ondo state.

 

The incident which happened on Thursday afternoon, while the victims were returning from school, has been confirmed by the Ikare Police Division of the state.

 

According to Oladutoye Akinwan, the Ikare Divisional Police Officer, members of the Police Division are still combing the area of the occurrence for further clues to the whereabouts of the victims.

 

Police Officer Akinwan, confirmed that, the principal’s car used by the assailants, have been found where it was dumped; while the whereabouts of the abducted Principal of Auga Community Grammar School, Joshua Adeyemi, the Vice Principal, lfedayo Yesufu, and three other members of the school’s staff, namely: Oloyede Bukola, Adagunodo Funmilayo, and Blessing Okeke, is yet to be known.

 

Blessing Okeke, who was lucky enough to have escaped the ordeal, because she was freed by the kidnappers, who found out that she was pregnant, said they, (including herself and the other teachers), were abducted at the Auga-Ise road, in the Akoko East Local Government Area, of Ondo state.

 

She also testified that they were ambushed, and then whisked away into a thick forest on their way home after the day’s work.

 

Officer Oladutoye Akinwan, has however assured the community of Police efforts to see to the safe return of the kidnapped victims.
