Remains Of Fourscore Homes Owner Recovered From Ikoyi Collapsed Building

The remains of Mr. Femi Osibona, ownner of the collapsed Fourscore Homes, has been recovered from under the rubbles of the 21-storey building that caved-in in the Ikoyi area of Lagos state.

 

According to an official of the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA),  Osibona’s body was recovered from the site Thursday evening.

The  Ministry of Health has taken his dead body to the morgue amid tight security.

 

So far, 38 corpses have been recovered from the rubble as at Thursday afternoon, while about 9 people were lucky enough to be rescued alive.

 

Persons reportedly believed to still be trapped under the collapsed structure are, Wale Bob-Oseni, a U.S-bound real estate businessman, who also doubled as the executive director of African Bureau for Legislative Empowerment.

Onyinye Enekwe, personal assistant to Osibona who got employed last week was also involved in the unfortunate incident; and one Zainab Sanni, a 25-year-old female National Youth Service Corps,  (NYSC) member.

Master Emmanuel Abel, a 16-year-old young boy, who had travelled from Abuja to work at the site, was also reported to still be under the debris.

 

SarahReports had earlier reported how the 21-storey building, that was still under construction, on Gerrard Road in the Ikoyi area of Lagos state suddenly collapsed on Monday, November 1.

 

The unfortunate thing however is that no one can specifically say the number of people involved in the gory occurrence since there is no manifest, to give the exact number of people that were involved in the incident.
