Senate To Probe Justice Odili’s Abuja Home Invasion

The Nigerian Senate has condemned the unlawful invasion of Justice Mary Odili’s, of the Supreme Court, Abuja home, and has decided to discuss the matter during its plenary session.


This is according to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, Opeyemi Bamidele, during his visit to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Abuja office, on Monday.

He said,

“We cannot pretend to be unaware of the embarrassing invasion of the residence of Justice Odili on Friday night, by security agents. We take the matter serious. When we resume plenary, we will discuss it.”


SarahReports has earlier reported how a team of security personnel, on Friday night, stormed Justice Odili’s residence on the grounds that information reaching them revealed that ‘illegal activities’ are being carried out in there; and the Southern Nigeria Frontier, (SNF), condemnation of the barbaric act.
