Serial Drug Dealer Nabbed By NDLEA In Lagos

A statement released on Sunday, by Femi Babafemi, the spokesman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA), has confirmed the arrest of a serial drug dealer, Okoli Ikenna, who has been behind multiple drug trafficking through the Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport, (MMIA), to London.

 

Okoli Ikenna, a-33-year-old man, was reportedly apprehended by operatives of the NDLEA.

 

 

Spokesperson Babafemi said, prior to the arrest of Mr. Okoli Ikenna, he was arrested in November 2020, and arraigned at the Lagos Federal High Court, for attempting to export 15.7 kilogrammes of methamphetamine to Australia, but he was later released.

 

Babafemi again revealed that, series of investigations into recent developments of multiple attempts to export illicit substances to the United Kingdom, UK, led again to the arrest of Okoli Ikenna, on Tuesday, November 2nd, for being the mastermind behind the drug trafficking.

 

Following the arrest, Okoli Ikenna was said to have been caught with 78 parcels of cannabis, weighing 12.25 kilogrammes; and on Thursday, October 21st,  he was allegedly the man behind the attempt to export 7.35 kilogrammes of cannabis to the UK.  The consignment intercepted at NAHCO export shed, of the MMIA.

 

Femi Babafemi also confirmed that, further investigations into the shady deals of Okoli Ikenna, by the Agency’s Directorate of Operations and General Investigation, DOGI, attached to courier companies, equally traced two other attempts to export 47.7 kilogrammes of cannabis to the UK through courier firms, to Okoli Ikenna.
