The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, has appealed to state governors to please provide food for citizens within its jurisdiction to alleviate their hunger pains.
The Sultan said this on Thursday August 5th, while speaking at the opening ceremony of a Summit organized by the Da’awah Coordination Council of Nigeria (DCCN), in Gombe state.
The Monarch stressed that, if there is food scarcity, insecurity will increase because a hungry man is an angry person.
Sultan of Sokoto also said food should not only be accessible to man but it must also be made affordable.
He therefore, advised state governors to ensure adequate food supply in their domain for peaceful coexistence.
