Sunday Igboho To Get N20 Billion As Compensation … Oyo State High Court

It would be recalled that in the early hours of Thursday July 1, 2021, men of the Department of State Services invaded the Ibadan home of Chief Sunday Adeyemo popularly called Sunday Igboho.

 

Since the incident, the legal team of the self-acclaimed Yoruba warlord, through his lawyer, Yomi Aliyu, issued a press release on 3rd of July, 2021 titled, “Illegal and Grossly Unconstitutional Invasion of  Sunday Igboho Residence”, which revealed the filed suit challenging the unlawful intrusion of Chief Sunday Igboho’s Soka, Ibadan, home.

 

The filed suit as written in the press statement, laid claim to a sum of N500  billion as compensation for the damages done during the illegal invasion of Igboho’s residence and the attendant effects on the person of Sunday Igboho.

 

Consequently, Justice Ladiran Akintola, in an Oyo State High Court, on Friday, September 17, has ordered the Federal Government, FG, to pay the sum of N20 billion to the Yoruba agitator as compensation.
