The murdered Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, has been buried at Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi – Lagos.
Ataga was buried around 12.30pm on Friday 30th, in a low-key ceremony, attended by his wife, family members, and friends.
Journalists who were present at the event, were restricted from covering some aspects of the funeral rites; so also, photographs were not also allowed to be taken during the burial proceedings.
Ataga, whose corpse was found at AirBnB apartment, Adebowale Oshin Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, was aged 50, before his death. He was allegedly killed by his lover, a 21-year-old Chidinma Ojukwu, 300-level Mass Communication student at the University of Lagos, on June 16th, 2021.
Chidinma Ojukwu, who after allegedly committing the crime, fled the scene, was arrested on June 23, in her father’s house in Yaba. She was then paraded at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters, Ikeja.
The 21 years old lady who had confessed to the heinous act said she stabbed Usifo Ataga multiple times with a knife, under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Miss Ojukwu, was also said to have withdrawn the sum of ₦380,000 from the account of the late Ataga after fleeing the murder scene.
