‘Twins Day Festival’ To Hold In Lagos, Nigeria

The duo of Taiwo and Kehinde Folorunso, twins brothers, are calling fellow twins all over the country, and in other parts of the African continent, to join them celebrate, “Twins Day Festival”, an event meant to honour twins in Nigeria and beyond.

 

The twins brothers made the call during a chat with ladies of YourView on TVC News, on Friday.

 

Taiwo and Kehinde said, the event is scheduled for 6th of December, in Lagos, despite inadequate sponsorship.

 

They called on the federal and state government, to embrace this laudable initiative, while emphasizing the economic benefits the Festival will bring to the tourism sector in Nigeria.

 

Some highlights of the event according to Taiwo and Kehinde are: to erase misconceptions about twins, to see to helping raise twins of poor families, among others.

 

They revealed that, one of the special foods of the day is ‘Ewa Ibeji’, (special beans for twins), and many other indigenous foods.

 

While twins from other African nations are also expected to be at the event, Nigeria is still assumed to have the largest number of twins in the continent of Africa.
