Two Fighting: Why I Slapped Mrs. Obiano … Bianca Ojukwu

The unpalatable drama that ensued at Professor Soludo’s inauguration ceremony on Thursday in Anambra state, between Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the former governor of the state, and Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, Nigeria’s former ambassador to Ghana and Spain respectively, may not be forgotten in a hurry.

Speaking with newsmen on Friday, Bianca Ojukwu, also a former beauty queen and wife of the ex governor of Eastern region, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu,  said the unfortunate incident happened when Mrs. Obiano walked up to her and used fowl languages to demean her.

Bianca Ojukwu said, when she can no longer tolerate her uncultured behaviour, she had to do the unthinkable – give Mrs. Obiano a hot, dirty slap; and this led to a scuffle between them before the intervention of some dignitaries at the event.

The former beauty queen, Bianca, also confessed to pulling off Mrs. Obiano’s wig to her embarrassment.

Mrs. Ojukwu however condemned the amount of whiskey oozing out of Mrs. Obiano’s mouth at that hour of the day.

No one can say exactly, if it was the ‘excessive’ alcohol intake of the now ex governor Willie Obiano’s wife, that led to her unmannered behaviour; because that was not an happy ending for her obvious embarrassed husband.

How could the first lady be so drunk at that time of the day?

While some Nigerians are ‘praising’ Bianca for restoring sense to Mrs. Obiano with a ‘dirty slap’, some other Nigerians condemned the barbaric attacks by both parties saying how could two supposedly distinguished former First Ladies of Anambra state behave in such senseless manners?

Some Nigerians therefore called for unreserved apologies from the ‘slapper’ – Bianca, and the ‘slapee’ – Ebelechukwu for their shameful attacks on each other in an open space; worse still, a swearing in ceremony of the new governor elect, Charles Soludo who was in a high spirit until the incident.
