UI Goes Tough On Covid 19, Vaccinates Its Community, Conducts Health Check For Members Of Staff

The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, in the bid to further sanitize its community against the deadly Covid 19 virus, adequate vaccination exercise has begun starting from today.

 

The vaccination exercises, which started on Monday, August 23, with staff of the University’s medical centre, Jaja as first to receive the jab, will spread across the academic community from tomorrow Tuesday, August 24, with the Faculty of Arts as the next in line for the exercise.

 

In a release sighted by SarahReports, it was stated that, the exercise for the Faculty of Arts will start by 9:00am, with the following schedule: Faculty’s Quadrangle for staff and their dependents; while the New Building Basement will be the venue for students. This is to ensure adequate ventilation and to prevent crowding.

 

Other departments are expected to work out the modalities for their vaccination exercise.

 

However, members of the academic community are required to fill an online form indicating their interest.  In filling the form, Ibadan North should be marked as the Local Government, and Agbowo as the Primary Healthcare.

 

In addition to this exercise, there would be health check for staff members only as directed by the Ag. Vice Chancellor.
