After serving days in custody, Miss Chidinma Ojukwu, the suspected killer of Mr. Usifo Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Super TV, is still expected to remain in custody following lack of substantial evidence to exonerate her from the case.
Police counsel, Cyril Ejiofor, during the seating, appealed to the court that, Miss Ojukwu and her alleged accomplice Adedapo Quadri, both to remain in custody pending the issuance of Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) report on the matter; an appeal Chief Magistrate Adeola Adedayo granted. She also ordered that, Chidinma Ojukwu be remanded for another 30 days in custody.
Miss Ojukwu, a 21 years old, 300 level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos’ ordeal started, when she allegedly murdered the Super TV CEO, Usifo Ataga on June 15th, 2021 after which she fled the scene and withdrew the sum of N380,000 from the victim’s account with his ATM card.
The Super TV boss had been laid to rest on Friday July 30th, 2021 at Ikoyi – Lagos amidst his family members and friends.
