Veteran Nollywood Star, Racheal Oniga, Buried In Lagos

Legendary Nollywood star, Racheal Oniga, who died on Friday, July 30, 2021, after a brief illness credited to heart-related issues, has been buried in Lagos. She was buried on August 26, 2021.

 

 

Oniga, whose burial ceremony was a private one, was also laid to mother earth at a private cemetery, still in Lagos.  The interment was however, preceded by a lying-in-state service, held at the Catholic Church of Resurrection, Magodo Estate, Lagos.

 

 

Chief Racheal Oniga, a native of Eku, in Delta State, was born on May 25, 1957. She died at age 64.

 

Madam Oniga began her acting career in 1993. Until her death, she was a member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

 

Movies she starred in were: the blockbuster movie, ‘Onome’; hit movie, ‘Owo Blow’, a Yoruba movie.

 

Her recent movies include: ‘The Wedding Party’, ‘The Royal Hibiscus Hotel’, ‘30 Days in Atlanta’, ‘Sango’, ‘Out of Bounds’, among many others.

Racheal Oniga’s absence, will indeed, be felt in the Nigerian movie industry. She will also be greatly missed, not only by her family members, but by all her fans across the globe.
