We Will Resist Result If APGA Wins … APC Anambra State Chairman

Anambra state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Basil Ejidike, in a statement issued on Sunday night, has accused the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA), and the sitting Governor Obiano, of conniving with  “corrupt-minded INEC officials” to rig the yet-to-be concluded election process in the state.

In the words of the APC Chairman,

“What is happening in Anambra is never an election, but big time electoral fraud and malpractice.”

“The candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance,(APGA), and the sitting Governor, Willie Obiano, manipulated the whole electoral system, and we will stand to resist it.”

He added,

“We virtually won in all the local government, but Willie Obiano and Charles Soludo, through the instrumentality of corrupt-minded INEC officers, subverted the whole process in favour of APGA.”

Basil Ejidike who believed that,

“Ndi Anambra wants an APC Governor, and there’s nothing anyone can do to deny them that opportunity”, concluded that,

“We want the whole world to hear our voice that, we will never accept the outcome of the Anambra gubernatorial election.”

“We want INEC to cancel the election, and fix a date for a fresh election devoid of manipulations and malpractices.”

He emphasized,

“But if INEC goes ahead to announce the results, we will definitely challenge the election process at the court of law, up-to Supreme Court. Nobody can intimidate us.”

In response to the allegation, APGA Chairman, Nobert Obi, said, the accusation is not justifiable, as observers of the electoral process, as well as Nigerians, can testify that the election is free and fair; adding that, “I don’t know where they got such information from.”

Meanwhile, the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), is yet to announce the Anambra state Saturday, November 6th election on the grounds that, a supplementary poll is expected to hold on Tuesday, November 9, in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.
