Anambra State Gov-Elect Soludo + Deputy, Receive Cert. Of Return From INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), has on Friday, November 12th, presented the Certificate of Return to the winner of the Anambra state governorship election, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

 

INEC presented the certificate to Anambra state governor-elect Soludo, alongside the deputy governor-elect, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, at the state capital, Awka.

 

Prof. Soludo, became Anambra state governor-elect, after a landslide victory, at the Saturday, November 6th polls; and at the supplementary election in Ihiala local government area, on Tuesday, November 9th.

 

While some of his opponents are contesting the election result as declared by INEC, on different grounds, Prof. Soludo has said, he is willing to work with anyone, especially women and youths, who have got value to add to his administration.

 

Anambra State, Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Nkwachukwu Orji who presented the certificate of return to Soludo and Ibezim, advised the duo to uphold good governance they swore to.

 

However, as the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA), is rejoicing over the landmark achievement recorded, following Prof. Soludo emergence as the winner of the Anambra state election, other aggrieved contestants, and their political parties, have decided to resist the outcome of the polls, and some others, have promised to head to court for redress.
