While the family of Oluwabamise Ayanwole is grieving over the sudden disappearance and death of their beloved fashion designer daughter, the driver of the BRT bus, which was supposed to covey Oluwabamise to her destination safely, has been arrested.
This was confirmed by the Lagos state police command spokesman, Adekunle Ajisebutu, who narrated how Mr. Nice Andrew Omininikoron, the driver of the bus where the now deceased Oluwabamise last boarded was arrested.
Ajisebutu explained how Mr. Omininikoron suddenly disappeared after lady Oluwabamise was declared missing by her family.
Ajisebutu again confirmed that, at the instance the young fashion designer was declared missing, the Lagos state police team, picked up driver Omininikoron’s guarantor, and one other suspect over the weekend.
Police report also revealed how the 22 years old Miss. Oluwabamise Ayanwole, sensing danger, sent a voice note through to her friend, alerting her of the impending danger she was in, while also urging her to pray for her, not only because she sensed danger, but also because of the untoward comments made by driver Omininikoron to her while sitting in the dark BRT bus containing two other men and a lady.
Although Oluwabamise in the voice note said she couldn’t see the faces of other 3-4 persons in the bus, she was able to give other useful information about her whereabouts.
According to the Lagos state police command, it was residents in the Lagos-Island axis, that alerted them of a corpse abandoned in the area.
On getting the information, policemen attached to Ebute Ero Police Station, went to the scene, and discovered the dead body of the young 22 years old Oluwabamise.
Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwole corpse, has been deposited at the Mainland Hospital mortuary; while a grieving family said, “an autopsy will be carried out, to confirm if any part of her body is missing.”
