Eid-el Kabir Celebrations: IGP Reassures Nigerians of Security and Safety, Charges Nigeria Police Force to be Ready

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has urged men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), to ensure security and safety of lives and properties on all highways and other volatile areas in the country.

Usman Baba said this in a letter signed by the force Public Relations Officer (PRO), CP Frank Mba at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The IGP clearly stated that the Police Force must ensure that all Nigerians, especially Muslim faithfuls enjoy a hitch-free Eid-el Kabir celebrations. To this end, human and other operational gadgets needed to forestall breakdown of law and order and for prompt responses to any other eventuality have being put in place.

Usman Baba encouraged men of the Police Force to be professional in discharging their duties and also to respect citizens’ fundamental rights. He advised police officers to be alert even while being decorous on duties.

The Inspector General congratulates all Muslim faithfuls on this year’s Salah celebrations and enjoined them to be Covid 19 compliant while enjoying the festivities

We will recall that the Federal Government has earlier declared Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st as public holidays to celebrate the Eid-el Kabir festivals.
