Peter Obi: “Politics Is Not A War, It Is A Relationship”

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has said “politics is not a war, it is a relationship.”

Peter Obi, who was the Vice-Presidential candidate under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2019 Presidential race, told newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, shortly after attending Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s declaration of his intention to be Nigeria’s president in 2023, that, “politics is not a war, it is a relationship; and Atiku is my leader, he is my boss, he is a senior brother, if he invites me for anything, I will attend. Aspiring for anything does not say I should not keep my relationship.”

Recall that, the former Anambra state governor, was Atiku Abubakar’s running mate three years ago; but he (Obi), has made his intention to also run independently in the 2023 presidential election known to the media.

Peter Obi, who visited traditional rulers in Agu-Awka in Anambra State, to receive royal blessings ahead of the 2023 presidential race, said, “I am talking to the traditional rulers, because if somebody begins any journey, he must first tell his fathers. I am telling you as my fathers that I am coming out to contest the position.”
