2023: APC Presidential Aspirants to Pay N70m as Fee for Nomination Forms, N30m as Fee for Expression of Interest Form

The All Progressives Congress (APC) at the 11th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday, agreed that all its presidential aspirants will pay N100 million as fee for nomination forms.

This was made known by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who also revealed that, while the Nomination Forms go for N70 million, the Expression of Interest Forms go for N30 million.

Morka however emphasized that, the N100 million fee covers both the male and female aspirants which is contrary to the statement earlier made by the APC National Women Leader, Betta Edu, that women aspirants will be entitled to free Nomination forms, but that they will only pay for their Expression of Interest forms.

Speaking during the meeting was also the Party’s National Secretary, Dr. Iyiola Omisore, who revealed that, the National Executive Council (NEC) has transferred power to the National Working Committee (NWC) until July this year.

Omisore said, all the decisions that would have required the consent of the NEC are now to be made by the Abdullahi Adamu-led NWC for the next 90 days.

According to Omisore. Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan, moved the motion, and it was seconded by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
