CP. Odumosu Assures Justice For Late Sylvester Oromoni Jnr… As Dowen College Mgt. Cooperates With Investigators

Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, has assured Nigerians, especially Lagosians, that, no stone will be left unturned, in order to unravel people (students of Dowen College), behind the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr.

 

Sylvester, who reportedly died last week Tuesday, due to injuries sustained after he was allegedly beaten, bullied, and tortured, by some senior students of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, said before his demise that, it was because he had refused to join the ‘unruly or cult group’, organized by the senior students.

 

In a viral video on social media, the late 12-year-old Sylvester, was seen writhing in pain, with his teeth stained with dark red blood. His legs were also swollen, and his belly, bloated.

 

CP. Odumosu, while speaking on one of the national television stations on Sunday, said the case has been transferred to the State’s Criminal Investigation Department, (CID), Panti, for further investigation; while the Lagos State government has called for calm over the matter.

 

Meanwhile, about 100,000 individuals have signed the two (2) online petitions on change.org platform, demanding swift prosecution of those responsible for Sylvester Oromoni’s death.

 

However, the management of Dowen College, has assured their cooperation with law enforcement agencies, to unravel the mystery behind the incident; and to ensure that perpetrators are prosecuted, and brought to book; while the school remain closed.
